Features and Purpose:

  • Instant Feedback Tool: The Application Assessor provides immediate feedback on application components, offering detailed scores and recommendations for improvement. It operates in reverse to the Application Builder by assessing the quality of drafts created by the user, identifying strengths and areas for enhancement.

  • Assessment Protocols: Utilizing the same rigorous protocols as the Application Builder, the Assessor instantly evaluates each component's quality and completeness. This ensures that the feedback is both comprehensive and aligned with the standards expected by residency programs.

  • Comprehensive Recommendations: The tool identifies weak areas in the drafts and provides actionable suggestions for enhancement. Users receive specific, targeted advice on how to improve their components, helping them refine their applications to meet high standards.

2. Benefits:

  • Affordability: Similar to the Application Builder, the Application Assessor is designed to be affordable, offering high-quality assessments at a low cost. This makes it accessible to all applicants.

  • Instant Feedback: Users receive quick and comprehensive evaluations of their application components, enabling them to make prompt and informed improvements. This instant feedback is crucial for applicants working on their MyERAS application, especially within tight deadlines.

  • Unique Service: Match A Resident is the first in the industry to offer an instant assessment and feedback tool for ERAS application components. This innovative service sets it apart from other offerings, providing applicants with a unique advantage in the application process.

3. Instructions:

1. Register/Login: Create an account or log in to your existing Match A Resident account.

2. Select Component: Click on "Application Assessor" in the left menu. Name the component you wish to assess for easy identification.

3. Paste Component: Copy and paste your draft into the provided text area.

4. Assess: Click "Assess" to initiate the evaluation process. Depending on user traffic, the assessment results will be available in seconds to minutes.

4. Best Practices:

  • Character Limits: Ensure that your draft meets the character limits for each component, as the Assessor will not resize your content. This tool assesses exactly what is provided by the applicant, so it is important to stay within specified limits.

  • Detailed Review: Pay close attention to the detailed feedback and recommendations. Use these insights to refine and improve your application components, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
